*Two locations:* 9833 Markham Rd, Markham, ON 7550 Birchmound Rd, Markham, ON *Responsibilities:* * Teach small group classes and private lessons to students in grades 9-12, focusing on Mathematics (*Preferred: Candidates who are capable of teaching at least one science subject, such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics*.) * Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to students? academic levels and learning needs. * Provide clear explanations of challenging topics, including but not limited to algebra, calculus, mechanics, thermodynamics, chemical reactions, and biological systems. * Prepare students for exams, including standardized tests and advanced assessments in science and math subjects. * Use engaging and interactive teaching methods to enhance students? problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding. * Provide regular feedback and guidance to support students' academic growth. * Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and academic achievement. *Requirements:* * Strong subject knowledge: Proficiency in Mathematics with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. * Degree in a relevant field: Must hold a degree in Mathematics or a related discipline. * Experience with high school curriculum: Familiarity with the grade 9-12 curriculum and the ability to prepare students for advanced assessments and exams. * Caring and patient: Must enjoy working with high school students and be committed to their academic and personal development. * Class management skills: Strong classroom management skills are essential to create a structured and productive learning environment in both small group and private lesson settings. * Adaptability: Ability to adjust to new teaching methods, tools, and changing academic requirements. * Team player: Willing to collaborate with other teachers and staff, and be flexible to assist with additional teaching responsibilities as needed. * Previous teaching experience in high school Math and Science subjects is preferred. * Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
